Michelle Haymoz offers in-depth instruction of the traditional Ashtanga Yoga Series (Primary, Intermediate, and Mysore Style) as well as Ashtanga-based improvisation classes, instruction in modifying sequences according to the level of each practitioner. Her classes further incorporate breathing techniques (Pranayama), exercises to cultivate awareness and strength of body and mind, guided meditation and chanting.

Michelle has been a dedicated student of Tim Miller for a number of years, committed to her daily Ashtanga Yoga Practice up to Advanced Level A. She has completed Tim Miller’s teacher trainings at the Ashtanga Yoga Center in the Primary Series as well as the Intermediate Series. She has also studied with Sharath R. Jois in Mysore, David Swenson, Richard Freeman, and other Ashtanga teachers.
Her study in her native country Switzerland as well as in the United States where she lived for many years, has provided her with a profound understanding of body mechanics and movement techniques supplementing her previous practices in classical ballet, aerobics, therapeutic body and energy work, voice training, and meditation. In her classes (both group and private), she applies a compassionate, inspiring and encouraging teaching style.
Born and raised in Zurich/Switzerland 1967, resident of the U.S. from 2004 to 2012. Speaks German, English, basic French and Italian.
